How much meaning do we need to feel engaged and satisfied at work?
The short answer: far less than we might expect.
I personally was shocked when I read research published in JAMA Internal Medicine indicating how many meaningful moments a week are required at work in order to stave off burnout.
And these are moments - often fleeting, largely unrecognized until we reflect upon them.
The research indicates that we can all have meaningful work if we identify our preferred activities and do them for just a small portion of our work week.
I break it all down in detail in today’s new post in Forbes, part of a special series called a Career Challenge: Rediscover Your Purpose In 15 Days. Enjoy!
